Training "Building Strong Communities" in Slovenia

I was fortunate enough to participate in the training "‘Building Strong Communities’" in Brežice, Slovenia, from May 25 to June 1, 2025. It was an amazing and useful event for my personal and professional growth. Plus, there was a cultural program and a chance to meet colleagues from other countries.

During the training, we talked about topics like organizational culture, community-building skills, and the importance of rituals for strengthening communities. Each session was interesting and gave us practical tools to use in our communities.

The trainers, Sonja and Ursula, were fantastic! Their passion for their work and experience made the learning very inspiring. Sonja focused on creativity and the "Learning to Learn,," which helped us think outside the box. Ursula's approach to finding opportunities for growth made me realize my hidden potential that I didn't even know I had.

The most valuable part of the training was the practical section. We received a step-by-step action plan that we can implement in our local communities.

I plan to hold a series of leadership and volunteering training sessions at home, using the methods and tools we learned in Slovenia.

Another great benefit of the event was meeting participants from eight different countries. It was interesting to share ideas and experiences with people who share our passion for volunteering. The multicultural atmosphere helped with cooperation and understanding.

I believe we were very lucky to attend this training. It gave us new skills and knowledge, new friends with similar interests, and new plans. Thank you for this wonderful experience!
